 In 2012, Boston Magazine marked its sixth Design Home. Each Design Home has brought something new to the market, and this year was no exception. In 2012, we incorporated some interactive digital elements to provide both sponsors and our audience a truly rewarding experience. We invite you to join us in the creation of this exceptional home. In partnership with the reputable builder Eugene Mattie, we have custom-designed a luxury residence within the sanctuary of Cowings Cove, a. private community in Norwell, MA complete with furnishings, lavish top-of-the-line appliances, and exquisite detailing.

The Home

Design Home 2012 builder and South Shore native Eugene Mattie designed the entire Cowings Cove community with “Mother Nature in mind by leaving as many trees as possible untouched and thriving on the property”, Mattie says. He transplanted trees whenever possible to keep the property authentic. Amenities include: private putting green, a children’s bus stop designed after a 19th century farm stand, a covered walking bridge reminiscent of the old days, and beautiful walking trails.
